Very pleased that my pysanka was used for this feature in Uppercase Magazine. My Baba (Grandmother) taught me the art of pysanka which are traditional Ukrainian easter eggs. They are created by "writing" lines and shapes with beeswax on a fresh eggshell and dipping the egg in multiple layers of coloured dyes, starting with light colours and ending with black. Uppercase Magazine is a global design magazine, created in Calgary, Alberta, Canada .... just a 30 minute drive from where I live. The photographs of my eggs are available on iStock, which was also a Calgary company, prior to being bought by stock image giant, Getty.
